The Targeted Sensorimotor Trainings (TSMT®) and Hydrotherapeutic Rehabilitation Gymnastics (HRG) methods were developed by Hungarian conductor and movement therapist Dr. Katalin Lakatos (1962–2016).
LongiKid®
The Longitudinal Complex Examination (LongiKid®) makes it possible to measure the condition of children.
The Longitudinal Complex Assessment (LongiKid®) is a neuro-sensorimotor test designed to evaluate children’s motor, psychological, cognitive, and social skills. Applicable from 3 months to 11 years, it identifies developmental irregularities and neurological maturation disorders.
Currently, LongiKid® is the only neuro-sensorimotor test capable of tracking development from 0 to 11 years under consistent criteria, offering a unique solution for early identification of atypical development or behavior. Scoring is objective, considering developmental neurology, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, as well as ophthalmologic and audiologic age-specific criteria. By examining each function through multiple tasks, it provides a comprehensive understanding of the child’s developmental level.
The assessment is playful and engaging for children.

TSMT® I – Individual Development Program
The first step is the comprehensive LongiKid® assessment.
Based on the assessment results, the TSMT® therapist creates a therapeutic plan tailored to the child’s individual developmental level and the family’s capacity. The therapy follows a structured sequence of tasks that progressively increase in difficulty according to the child’s development. The therapist trains the parents to perform the exercises, which they then practice at home with the child. During regular, pre-scheduled follow-up sessions, the therapist and parents discuss the child’s progress, jointly complete the practiced tasks, and the therapist develops new task sequences aligned with the child’s developmental pace. The therapeutic process concludes with a follow-up assessment, and based on its results, the therapist provides recommendations for any further necessary development.

TSMT® II – Group Development Program
The first step is the comprehensive LongiKid® assessment.
Based on the assessment results, the therapist creates a therapeutic plan aimed at improving the skills of the entire group, which consists of 2-8 children. Sessions are held at least twice a week, each lasting 45 minutes, and follow structured task sequences that progressively increase in difficulty according to the children’s developmental progress. The therapeutic process concludes with a comprehensive assessment.

HRG – Water-Based Development Program
The first step is the comprehensive LongiKid® assessment
Based on the assessment results, the therapist typically conducts therapeutic sessions as a complement to land-based therapy (TSMT® I or TSMT® II). During individual or group sessions involving the parents, structured task sequences are performed. These tasks are designed to align with the therapeutic plan and progressively increase in difficulty according to the child’s developmental progress.
